Colorado and Utah . . .

Colorado Landscape

Rifle, Colorado . . .
Driving thru Colorado Springs, Denver  we didn't spend any time here. We can save this for another adventure. Instead we headed out onto I-70 toward Rifle, CO.
One of Colorado's many mining towns

We spent some time outside of Rifle at a nice KOA campground. Very reasonable for a KOA.

The next morning we went into Rifle to eat at the world famous Shooters Grill. We had planned to stop here ever since we heard about the place. And yes, all the wait staff were open carrying their guns. Strolled around the little town and made a stop at a pawn shop where Guy drooled over a $12,000 rifle.

Colorado into Utah . . .
Traveling over the high mountain range into Utah, we stopped at a scenic overlook and stretched our legs and let Sweet Pea out for a bit. Beautiful scenery from this overlook. Pictured below are Eagle Canyon, pathway on the rim and a beautiful old twisted tree.

What a beautiful country we live in. I'm so blessed to be able to travel and see these wondrous sites.
