Las Vegas Bound . . .

The Town of Tinsel and Money . . .
I had never been to Las Vegas, but Guy had flown into Las Vegas a few years ago and spent some time there on the Strip. Driving into Las Vegas it looked pretty much as I had imagined it. Desert with sonic booming jets flying overhead from the Air Force base nearby.
Driving thru the mountains toward Vegas

The strip in the daytime was a bustling place with marquees flashing and at night it looked like a fairyland against the night time sky.
Not sure what it is, but it was bright

We spent a couple of days at Duck Creek RV Park, a very clean and pretty place close in to the action. There were a couple of large casinos about a block away with restaurants. We enjoyed the stay here, but I quickly realized that Las Vegas and the Neon lights were not my cup of tea.

LAKE HAVASU CITY, ARIZONA—
In 1962, London Bridge was falling down. Built in 1831, the bridge couldn't handle the ever-increasing flow of traffic across the Thames River. The British government decided to put the bridge up for sale, and Robert McCulloch, Founder of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Chairman of McCulloch Oil Corporation, submitted the winning bid of $2,460,000.
